Vice Minister Qu Dongyu meets Finnish Minister of Agriculture and the Environment Kimmo Tiilikainen

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met Mr. Kimmo Kalevi Tiilikainen, Minister of Agriculture and the Environment of Finland, in Beijing on March 21, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on further China-Finland agricultural cooperation.
Vice Minister Qu stated that in recent years, the two ministries have maintained good cooperative relations.The signature of a series of agreements on agricultural cooperation and the establishment of cooperation mechanisms has constantly expanded and enriched the bilateral agricultural cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to work with Finland, give full play to the advantages of both sides, and develop projects to implement the cooperation priorities set out in the Action Plan on China-Finland Agricultural Cooperation for 2015-2016, to promote the pragmatic cooperation in oats, biomass energy and agro-environment protection.
Kimmo Tiilikainen fully agreed with Mr. Qu on his suggestions, saying that Finland stands ready to work with China to implement the cooperation activities set out in the Action Plan and to continuously deepen bilateral agricultural cooperation.
The two sides also discussed other issues, including cooperation between research institutes and agricultural trade.
